Physical fitness (PF) is defined as the “ability to carry out daily tasks with vigor and alertness, without undue fatigue and with ample energy to enjoy leisure-time pursuits and to meet unforeseen emergencies.” As PF is a powerful marker of cardiovascular health in children, it is considered that a sufficient level of PF in childhood is needed to carry forward favorable behavioral and biological effects into later life.2
